At least the much anticipated drop of recent BAYC merchandise has arrived lately for Bored Ape Yacht Club holders. Many keepers took to Twitter to proudly show off their new merch. At the same time, the drop was going through some technical issues, which pissed off some BAYC participants.
BAYC participants order their new merch exclusively from APEcoin
Yuga Labs first teased the latest orb of BAYC merchandise on its Instagram webpage on March 25th. Then the BAYC Twitter account showed the sale tomorrow. In particular, the tweet integrated the truth that the holders would most simply have the option to buy merch with APEcoin.
This was once just another primary flex from BAYC. Indeed, while some NFT jobs have authorized ETH for their merch in addition to USD, none require their own ecosystem token as their sole cost. At least, none with the influence of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. With that said, it seems that the APEcoin accounts added some headaches to the decline.
Some BAYC participants had issues with overdue bills
As happy as some BAYC participants were with the brand new merch, some took to Twitter to express frustration. This was once because some holders were in reality not ready to protect their merchandise. Basically, some people had taken their APEcoin within the transaction, but then understood that their fees were once too late.
In the end, BAYC staff did make comments about the issues. The legit account tweeted, “We are aware of the issues with Coinbase Commerce during the merch store checkout process. They are now working on a resolution. If you have experienced payment issues, we will be following up on the next steps shortly.”
Luckily for the affected BAYC entrants, it looks like they’ll be able to get their hands on their merchandise soon enough.
